As someone who moved to Seattle in 2019, this book allowed me to get a sense of what was lost with the rise of gentrification and the tech boom. It allowed me to grieve the changes around me and also feel connected to the history of the new place I entered. I still have the maps on my wall and regularly look at the neighborhoods I now pass through and what rad places used to be there that couldn't survive the rent hikes. Highly recommend to anyone who has just moved here!
