It is time for the prince to be wed (according to the queen) but none of the fair maidens strikes his fancy... until he meets his prince charming. And everyone is happy and they live happily ever after. What I like most about this book is how little emphasis is placed on the gender of the lovers. To find the one you love is the goal. Now if only they would overthrow their own monarchy and live as members of a community instead of an oppressive ruling class...
