The beautiful art sucked me in right away--just look at it. Whoa! But also, the characters have realistic racial, gender, and queer demographics, which shouldn’t be exciting but it is because most comics/books/anthings don’t, right? The story is complex, but all the details are there to make it make sense if you take it slowly. It gives you a reason to look at the art longer.
